Post Production

Once we had filmed our footage, we had to convert it using MPEG stream clip.
We then could start editing our footage using an editing software called final cut pro.We got to grips with final cut pro quite quickly and soon learnt how to cut shots and add music. We imported our background music off, of YouTube and used YouTube converter to download the music.
During some of our clips background noise was overriding the dialogue. So we managed to make the background noise quieter.
One of our major problems  was that we lost one of our clips while converting. This meant that one of our clips jumps from one to the next, not making it flow as it should.
Once we had edited all of our footage we started letter-boxing. This was easy however it it took a long time as we had to apply the letter box to each individual shot. We also had to re-frame a lot of our shots in order to make sure that nothing was cut out of frame. 

Preliminary Task- 'Pop goes'

Pre-Production - Preliminary task

For our preliminary task we were given the brief: 'A character opens a door, crosses the room and sits down in a chair opposite another character, with whom she/he then exchanged a couple lines of dialogue'. We were also given a short script to help us create the scene.

We first planned how we were going to create this short clip by deciding on a setting for the scene. The stage directions on the script mention that the character walks down a corridor. So we filmed our scene down a long corridor with a desk at the end. We then choose to get people to act the parts instead of playing the parts our self. This gave us more people to help film and direct.
We then went through the various different camera angles and shots we were going to use in order to create the representation of the scene. We did this by planing the shot types on our storyboard:

I think we worker well as a group, although if we were to do the task again i would assign each person a role to ensure we knew what  we were each responsible for. Also I would make sure we allowed time for practice shots to help us work out where was best regarding lighting and sound.
