We used a focus group to gain useful information about what
our target audience members seek in a film. Our focus group was made up of 4
people aged 16-17.

Express, Enchanted, The Notebook, Legend
What’s your favourite genre? Thriller, Drama, Thriller, Horror
What’s your least favourite genre? Sci-fi, Fantasy, Romantic, Comedy
When did you last watch a thriller, mystery film? 1 week ago, 2 weeks ago, 2 days ago, a week ago
From our focus group we concluded that thriller is the most watched genre by young people aged 16-17. This is why we decided to aim our film opening to people age 15-20.
