For the film opening we decided that we would need only need actress, a young girl, around 15-17. This was to ensure that the main character was the main focus of the opening scene. This was fairly easy to fit the role as we were not planning to have them acting. The girl who we choose to play 'Cassie' was a good friend called Lauren which made arranging filming days easier. She had experience in acting and in fact took media studies herself, so she knew what to expect when it came to shooting day and was very co-operative. I thought that Lauren was perfect for the role as being a 16 year old girl herself she could relate to her character, Cassie.
